Riccardo Garbaccio - Director
Creator of Kanyemba in 1999, owner-guide Riccardo offers genuine hospitality, with an Italian flair for taste, detail and quality. An Honorary Ranger, Riccardo is an experienced canoe and walking guide, and is heavily involved in conservation and community work in the local area. Riccardo has been Chairman of Conservation Lower Zambezi for the past 3 years, and is dedicated to making the Lower Zambezi region one of the best for visitors in Southern Africa.
Meegan Treen – General Manager
Australian born Meegan first came to Africa on a “once in a lifetime” holiday in 2007. A love affair with the continent ensued, and after 5 holidays in 3 years, it was time to move across the ocean. A hotel manager with over 15 years’ experience in the industry, Meegan joined the Kanyemba team in 2010, and is responsible for the daily running of the lodge, as well as reservations and staff training.
Finola Dickie – Catering
Born in the UK, but raised in Lusaka, Finola returned to Zambia in 2010 following her high school and University studies. Guiding the kitchen and housekeeping teams, Finola will ensure your stay at Kanyemba is luxurious and sumptuous - with an infectious smile!
Edison - Head Chef
Edison is Kanyemba Lodge's award winning head chef who has a passion for good food, and a smile to go with it. Edison is also mentor to our two assistant chefs, and is always striving to create new and wonderful dishes for the Kanyemba buffet.
Mwila - Senior Guide
Trained in the legendary Luangwa, Mwila is an excellent walking guide. He has just completed his canoeng exams and passed with flying colours.
